SKU not found in Shopify

Suppli pushed inventory but Shopify returned "SKU not found". Here's how to diagnose and fix it.

1. Verify the SKU in Shopify

In Shopify admin, open the product. Scroll to Variants. Click the variant and check the SKU field. SKU matching is case-sensitive — "BP799" ≠ "bp799".

Check for hidden whitespace. If you copied the SKU from a spreadsheet, it may have a trailing space. The Shopify SKU field and your Suppli mapping must be byte-for-byte identical.

2. Check your Suppli mapping

In Suppli, go to Catalog → Mappings. The Internal SKU column must exactly match the SKU on the Shopify variant. The Supplier SKU must exactly match the SKU column in the feed CSV.

3. Check the Shopify location

Suppli pushes inventory to a specific location. In Channels → Edit, verify the Location ID matches the location where the variant is stocked. If the variant isn't stocked at that location, inventory updates are silently ignored by Shopify.

In Shopify: Settings → Locations → click your location → check "Inventory managed at this location" is enabled for the product.
