Suppli Connect¶

Suppli Connect lets Suppli DM read from — and optionally write to — a Google Sheet you already use. No migration, no new tool to learn. Update the sheet yourself anytime; Suppli sees the change instantly, live, with no sync delay.

How it works¶

1. Connect your spreadsheet — Settings → Suppli Connect → Connect Spreadsheet. Sign in with Google and pick the sheet. You can connect up to 5 spreadsheets per account.
2. Suppli reads your structure — Suppli automatically scans your sheet's columns and figures out what each one means — a date column, a price column, a stock count. If your sheet's shape changes later, hit Re-analyze.
3. Set your instructions — tell Suppli, in plain English, what this sheet is and when to use it — e.g. "this is our class schedule" or "only check this sheet when a customer asks about upcoming stock." Then choose exactly which columns Suppli can touch, and which rows or columns it's allowed to mention directly to a customer.
4. Suppli DM uses it live — from then on, Suppli DM checks your instructions to decide if and when a customer question calls for this sheet. If it does, Suppli reads or writes the live sheet in real time — no cached copy, no delay.

The three access modes¶

• Read only — Suppli can look at your sheet to answer questions or make decisions, but will never edit anything. You control which parts of the sheet Suppli is allowed to say out loud to a customer versus use only for its own reasoning.
• Write only — Suppli can add or update information in your sheet, but can't read it back. Built for logging — capturing customer feedback, cancellation reasons, or requests — without ever repeating anything from the sheet in a conversation.
• Read and write — both. The class-booking use case: check what's open, book the slot, update the sheet, confirm to the customer. You still control which columns are editable and which parts are safe to mention in chat, independently of each other.

What "conveyable" means¶

Suppli might read your whole sheet to make a good decision, but that doesn't mean it will repeat any of it to a customer. When you set up a sheet, you choose which rows or columns are safe to quote directly in a conversation. Everything else is used only behind the scenes — filtering, checking availability, deciding what to do next — and never shown to the customer. By default, nothing is quotable until you turn it on.

A worked example — class booking¶

A gym connects their class schedule as Read and Write. Instructions: "this is our weekly class schedule — book the first available match and never double-book a full class."

A customer messages asking for a class. Suppli asks a couple of questions to narrow it down — location, preferred time — checks the live sheet for a matching slot with room left, and books it: first customer to ask, gets the class. If two customers ask for the same slot at nearly the same time, whoever's request lands first gets it — the other is offered the next closest match, or told honestly that nothing's available right now.

The sheet updates immediately — if the gym owner is looking at the spreadsheet at that exact moment, they'll see the seat count change live.

Suppli checks your catalog first¶

If Suppli already has the answer from your Suppli Catalog — stock, pricing, product info you've already set up — it won't bother checking your sheet at all. Sheets are for the information that lives outside your catalog: schedules, bookings, anything unique to how you run your business. This keeps replies fast and keeps Suppli from reaching for your spreadsheet on questions it can already answer.
