Connect Shopify to Suppli¶
Takes about 60 seconds. No API keys, no private apps — just enter your store URL and approve in one click.
Steps¶

Go to Add Connection in Suppli. In your Suppli dashboard, navigate to Channels and click Add connection.

Select your supplier and Shopify. In the form, select which Supplier this Shopify store connects to. Then choose Shopify from the Platform dropdown.

Enter your store URL. Type your Shopify store URL in the Store URL field:

https://needed. Suppli will normalize it automatically. -
Click "Connect with Shopify". Click the green Connect with Shopify → button. You'll be redirected to your Shopify admin to approve the connection.

Approve in Shopify — click "Install". Shopify will show you the permissions Suppli is requesting:
Read and write inventory Read and write productsClick Install to approve. Suppli needs these to update your inventory levels and set products to Draft when stock hits zero.
Note
write_productsis needed for auto-draft — Suppli changes the product status from Active to Draft when stock hits zero, so customers can't buy an out-of-stock item. -
You're back in Suppli — you're done ✅. Suppli redirects you back to the Channels page. Your Shopify store now appears in the connections table as Active.
Tip
Suppli automatically detects your Shopify inventory location — no manual location ID entry needed.

Check SKU matching. Suppli matches inventory by SKU. Make sure the SKUs in your Shopify product variants exactly match the Internal SKU you set in Suppli's product mappings.
Note
SKU matching is case-insensitive — "BP799" and "bp799" are treated as the same SKU.
Already connected via API key?
Connections made with the old private app / API key method still work — no action needed. But we recommend reconnecting via OAuth for better security and simpler maintenance. To do so: delete your existing Shopify connection, then add a new one using the steps above.
